Effective date: 15 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SparkScale Innovations LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles your information when you use the FastChat app for iPhone (“FastChat” or “the app”). It applies only to FastChat.
The short version:
- Your chat history is stored on your phone, not on our servers.
- To answer you, what you send to an AI feature goes through OpenRouter to an AI model provider. The app asks your permission before anything is sent, and you can withdraw it at any time.
- We don’t show ads, we don’t track you across apps or websites, we don’t use analytics tools, and we don’t sell your data.
- We don’t use your content to train AI models.
- You can delete your account and data in the app at any time.
1. Who we are
FastChat is published by SparkScale Innovations LLC, which is responsible for your personal data under this policy (the “data controller”). You can contact us at info@sparkscaleinnovationsllc.com.
2. The information we handle
2.1 Account information
- Guest account. When you first open the app, we create an anonymous account with a random user ID. You don’t need to give us your name or email address to use FastChat.
- Sign in with Apple (optional). If you sign in with Apple, we receive your email address from Apple. It may be a private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email”. If you share your name with Apple’s sign-in, it is kept only on your device to personalise the app and is not sent to our servers.
- Credits and purchases. We keep your credit balance, a record of the credits you use, your subscription status and a record of your App Store purchases, so we can give you what you paid for.
- Referrals. If you share or use a referral code, we record which accounts were linked and the bonus credits granted. Your referral code is made from the first letters of your email address plus random characters.
2.2 What you send to AI features
When you use an AI feature, we process the content you choose to send. Depending on the feature, this can be:
- the text you type, and the instructions of any custom assistant you create;
- photos you take or choose (for example in Face Swap, Hairstyle Changer, AI Outfit Try-On, AI Space Designer or AI Logo Maker, or to ask about an image);
- documents you attach, such as PDF or text files;
- web or YouTube links you share in Link & Ask or YouTube Analyzer;
- voice recordings in Voice Chat;
- your approximate location, only when you tap “Use my location” in Find Location;
- public market data that the app loads for AI Crypto Insights.
We use this content only to produce the answer, image or other result you asked for. Section 4 explains who receives it, and section 6 explains how long it is kept.
Most content is processed and then discarded. A few features keep content on our servers so they can work:
- Upload & Ask and Link & Ask keep the document or image you uploaded, or the text of the page you linked, for 24 hours, so you can ask follow-up questions. It is then deleted automatically.
- Agent Workflows run in the background, so the task you enter and each step’s result (including any images a step creates) are stored until you delete the run or your account. Images created by a workflow are stored at private, unlisted web addresses that only the app knows.
- Decision Maker saves your question, options and result so you can see them in your history.
- Duplicate-charge protection. For chat, Decision Maker and Agent Workflows, we keep a copy of the result for up to 24 hours, so that if your connection drops and the app retries, you are not charged twice.
If you turn on Search in chat, OpenRouter may send your question to a web search provider to find current information.
2.3 Photos of faces
Photo tools such as Face Swap, Hairstyle Changer and AI Outfit Try-On change the photo you provide. We do not use these photos to identify anyone, and we do not create or keep face templates or any other biometric identifiers. You must only upload photos of people who have agreed to it; the app asks you to confirm this before your first face swap.
2.4 Device and security information
To keep the app working, to protect your account and to stop free credits from being claimed again and again, we collect:
- a hashed (one-way scrambled) version of a random install identifier. The app creates this identifier and keeps it in your iPhone’s Keychain, where it stays even if you delete the app;
- a hashed version of your IP address when a guest account is created and when our servers apply rate limits. We do not store your IP address in readable form;
- your platform (iOS) and app version.
Like any online service, our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs, which can include IP addresses and your user ID, to run and secure our servers.
2.5 Reports and feedback
If you report an AI result or send us feedback, we receive your name and email address (both required by the form), what you write, and the AI result you reported. When you report a chat message, the full message is attached.
2.6 Information that stays on your phone
- Chat history, tool history, custom assistants and your settings are stored on your device. We do not keep copies of your chats on our servers.
- Images you create are sent to your device and kept in the app’s own storage. They are added to your photo library only when you tap Save.
- Speech-to-text. When you dictate a message, the app uses Apple’s speech recognition. Apple may process the audio on its servers under its own privacy policy.
- Text-to-speech for reading answers aloud runs on your device.
- Trial reminder. If you start a free trial and allow notifications, the reminder is scheduled on your device. We do not send push notifications.
2.7 Phone permissions
FastChat asks for a permission only when you first use the feature that needs it. Every permission is optional, and you can change it at any time in your iPhone’s Settings → FastChat.
- Camera: to take a photo for an image tool or a chat.
- Microphone: to record your voice in Voice Chat. The recording is deleted from your device once it has been sent.
- Speech recognition: to turn your speech into text in chat.
- Location (while using the app): only when you tap “Use my location” in Find Location, for that one search, at an accuracy of about 100 metres. We do not track your location in the background.
- Photos (add only): to save images you create to your library. FastChat cannot see your photo library; you choose each photo you upload with Apple’s photo picker.
- Notifications: only for the trial-ending reminder, if you start a free trial and allow it.
2.8 What we don’t collect
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, and we do not use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA).
- FastChat contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- We never see your payment card or bank details.
- We do not collect your contacts, calendar, health data or browsing history.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the app’s features and give you AI answers, images and other results.
- To manage your account, credits, subscriptions and purchases.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, for example repeated claims of free credits.
- To keep the app safe: our servers automatically filter requests for prohibited content (such as sexual content or content involving minors), and we review the reports you send us.
- To answer your questions and support requests.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping purchase records.
We do not use your content to train AI models. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.
4. Who we share information with
4.1 AI processing: OpenRouter and model providers
FastChat sends AI requests to OpenRouter, which passes each request to the provider of the model behind the feature you use. These providers are OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, xAI, DeepSeek, Moonshot AI, Mistral AI, Perplexity, Black Forest Labs and TypeSafe. In Voice Chat, OpenAI turns your speech into text and xAI creates the spoken reply.
- The app asks for your consent before any content is sent. You can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Legal → AI data sharing. AI features then stay off until you allow sharing again. Content that was already sent cannot be recalled.
- We send your user ID to OpenRouter only in hashed form, never in its original form. We do not send your name or email address with AI requests.
- For chat, image and Decision Maker requests, we instruct OpenRouter to use only providers that do not store or train on your data. For voice, OpenRouter’s account-level privacy settings apply.
- Providers may keep data for a limited time under their own terms, for example to detect abuse.
4.2 Other service providers
- Supabase: hosts our database, sign-in system, file storage and server functions. Our servers are in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany).
- RevenueCat: manages subscriptions. It receives your FastChat user ID and your App Store purchase information. We do not send it your name or email address.
- Apple: processes payments and Sign in with Apple, and the App Store tells the app when an update is available. We never see your card or bank details.
- Slack: our team receives internal alerts about the service. If an account is blocked for abuse, the alert can include that account’s email address.
- Binance public market data: AI Crypto Insights loads public price data directly from Binance’s public data service (data-api.binance.vision). Like any website, it receives your device’s IP address. No account or personal details are sent.
- Websites and YouTube: when you share a link, our server fetches that page’s or video’s public text to answer your question. YouTube video transcripts may be cached on our servers; the cache is not linked to you.
4.3 How these companies must protect your data
We share only the data each service needs to do its job. We work only with providers whose terms require them to use your data solely to provide their service to us, to keep it confidential and secure, and to protect it at least as well as this policy describes. We do not allow them to sell your data or use it for advertising.
4.4 Legal reasons
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or in connection with a merger or sale of our business. In a sale, this policy would continue to protect your data.
5. International transfers
Our database is in the European Union. SparkScale Innovations LLC, OpenRouter, most AI providers and RevenueCat are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there and in other countries where these providers operate. Where the law requires, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Chat history, tool history, custom assistants, settings | On your device until you delete them, delete your account or delete the app |
| Images you create | On your device until you delete the app (and in your photo library if you saved them) |
| Documents, images and links in Upload & Ask and Link & Ask | 24 hours on our servers, then deleted automatically |
| Copies of results kept for duplicate-charge protection | 24 hours, then deleted automatically |
| Photos you upload to image tools | Not stored by us; processed only to create the result |
| Voice recordings in Voice Chat | Not stored by us; processed only to create the reply |
| Your location in Find Location | Not stored by us; used only for that one search |
| Decision Maker history | Until you delete it, and at most 180 days |
| Agent Workflow runs and their images | Until you delete them or your account |
| Account, credits, credit history, referrals, reports and feedback | Until you delete your account |
| Purchase records | Kept for accounting and legal reasons, no longer linked to your account after you delete it |
| Hashed email address, install identifier and IP address | Kept to stop free credits from being claimed again, including after you delete your account |
| Rate-limit records | About 1 hour |
| Server technical logs | A short period, kept by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting |
7. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your data in the app at any time:
- Signed in with Apple: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Guest: Settings → Account → Delete my data.
This permanently deletes your account, credits, credit history, referrals, Decision Maker history, Agent Workflow runs, uploaded files, reports, feedback and related records from our servers, and removes your chat and tool history from the app on your device. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to revoke FastChat’s access to your Apple ID, so FastChat no longer appears under “Sign in with Apple” in your iPhone’s settings.
After deletion we keep only:
- purchase records, no longer linked to your account, for accounting and to prevent duplicate claims;
- the hashed versions of your email address, install identifier and IP address described above, so that welcome and guest credits can’t be claimed again.
RevenueCat and Apple keep their own records of your App Store transactions under their own policies.
Images the app saved in its own storage, and the install identifier in your Keychain, stay on your iPhone until you delete the app. To remove everything from your phone, delete the app after deleting your account.
Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription. To cancel, go to your iPhone’s Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.
If you no longer have the app, email info@sparkscaleinnovationsllc.com from the email address linked to your account, and we will delete your data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and California law (CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- access a copy of your personal data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- restrict or object to how we process it;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time (for AI sharing, in Settings → Legal → AI data sharing).
To use these rights, email info@sparkscaleinnovationsllc.com. We may need to confirm that the account is yours before we act. We will reply within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for using your rights. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: in the last 12 months we have collected the categories of information described in section 2 (identifiers, purchase records, user content, approximate location when you ask, and device information) for the purposes in section 3. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
9. Legal bases (EU and UK users)
- Contract: to provide the app, your account, credits and purchases.
- Consent: to send your content to AI providers, and to use your location, camera and microphone when you ask.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure and answer feedback.
- Legal obligation: to keep purchase records.
10. Children
FastChat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If your country sets a higher age for using online services without parental permission, you must be that age or have your parent’s or guardian’s permission. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit, signed requests, access controls and limited server-side storage. Sign-in tokens are kept in your iPhone’s Keychain, and identifiers used to prevent abuse are stored only in hashed form. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and fix problems quickly.
12. AI content
AI responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate. Do not rely on them for medical, legal, financial or other professional advice. You can report any result with the Report button.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the effective date above and, where the law requires, notify you of significant changes in the app or on this page.
